The nice girls all hate her; bad boys want to date her

To the cops she’s a trashy perpetrator

The ladies in church, all call her the neighbourhood whore

But I know her different;  to me she’s the girl next door

Her shorts are too short   her heels are too high

Her hair is too blonde        she has ‘come-fuck-me’ eyes

Construction workers whistle, ‘cause they want to see more

But I see her different;    to me she’s the girl next door

When I have to leave town - she waters my plants

Then I’ll mow her lawns and little things like that

On Tuesday nights, it’s Netflix with pizza & beer…

Some nights I go next door … and sometimes she comes here …
