I left home at 17 with a suitcase and a dream of working in media. The years on the road that followed — radio booths, TV studios, late-night writing sessions — are where my songs really started.

A masterclass with Kenny Rogers' band on his final Australian tour turned into a Nashville recording session with them — and the song "My Ex-Best Friend," which became a 2022 NT Song of the Year finalist.

In 2023 I was honoured with the Rudy Brandsma Award for Songwriting Excellence from the Australian Songwriters' Association — given not for one song, but for all the songs I'd entered that year, considered together by my fellow writers.
